Sustained Social Impact Through Quality Education in Anambra State
Transforming Communities Through Education: The Amaenyi School ProjectAt M-P Infrastructure (MPI), sustainability is not just about infrastructure - it’s about people. As part of our commitment to building a better, more inclusive Africa, we believe that access to quality education is a foundational pillar for sustainable development. This belief drove our flagship Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative: the transformation of a neglected public primary school in Amaenyi, Anambra State. What began as a renovation project evolved into a full-scale reconstruction and long-term adoption of the school.

Our interventions were designed not only to upgrade the facility, but to redefine what a rural learning environment can be:

•  Comprehensive renovation of all classrooms with proper ventilation, roofing, and furniture
•  Construction of modern toilet facilities to promote hygiene and dignity
•  Installation of a solar-powered IT room, providing students with access to the internet and digital learning tools
•  Development of a standard football pitch to support physical education and community engagement
•  Construction of a multipurpose hall for school assemblies, events, and extracurricular activities
•  Installation of a perimeter fence to ensure safety and create a conducive learning atmosphere
•  Provision of clean water and uninterrupted solar power supply
•  Employment of qualified teachers, with their monthly salaries fully sponsored by MPIBeyond infrastructure, we adopted the school entirely, committing to its continuous improvement and day-to-day operational support.

Today, over 300 students are empowered to dream bigger, learn better, and grow into confident contributors to their communities.Through impactful projects like this, MPI demonstrates how infrastructure can be a tool for social transformation; creating opportunities, breaking cycles of poverty, and leaving a legacy of empowerment.
At M-P Infrastructure (MPI), our understanding of infrastructure extends beyond roads, bridges, water systems, telecom networks, and smart city technology. It equally embraces human capital and community transformation. This philosophy is central to how we execute our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives and reflects our belief that sustainable development is built on long-term commitment.

Our flagship CSR programme in Anambra State exemplifies this commitment. Rather than a one-off engagement, MPI has established a recurring, structured intervention in education, designed to reinforce the foundations of learning and institutional excellence.

Key elements of this initiative include:
•  Employment of over 50 experienced teachers, hired and paid monthly through MPI’s CSR programme, providing consistency and professional instruction in the school environment.
•  Ongoing teacher training and development, strengthening instructional quality and ensuring our educators remain equipped with modern pedagogical skills.
•  A long-term commitment to this programme, MPI continues to fund salaries and support systems with no plans to stop, ensuring this intervention is recurring and sustainable.

This sustained support has generated tangible outcomes. Since MPI’s engagement began, the school has:
•  Successfully improved learning outcomes and performance standards for students. Enhanced teacher capacity through regular professional development.
•  Received multiple awards, reflecting institutional growth and elevated academic excellence.

As a company that leads infrastructure development across critical sectors including smart cities, ICT infrastructure, water solutions, power and renewable energy, oil and gas infrastructure, and real estate. MPI applies the same disciplined, long-term approach to education. By strengthening schools and empowering teachers, we are creating ripple effects that uplift communities and align with broader social development goals.

MPI’s commitment in Anambra State isn’t temporary, it’s a sustained investment in people, institutions, and the future of African education.
