The NLNG Road Expansion Project was delivered to improve connectivity in a key coastal corridor. The existing 1.55 km single carriageway was widened from 5 metres to 7.5 metres, with the addition of a pedestrian walkway to enhance safety for all road users. Supporting infrastructure, including culverts, drainage systems, kerbs, and full street lighting, was also upgraded to improve durability, road safety, and night-time visibility.
The project has generated over 100 direct and indirect jobs and is expected to improve travel time, boost emergency access, support residential and industrial growth, and stimulate commercial activity and investment in the surrounding area.
